October of 2017 I sold my house in California and moved to the mountains of North Carolina to be near my family, and the wonderful art community here.
In 2017 I had a very limited work schedule because of my move after  living in the same house for the past 40 years! You look at your possessions differently if you need to load them into a UHaul. My son drove the truck towing my 1968 Chevy PU and I followed in my car packed to the top including my cat. We made the 2243 mile trip in 3 days, driving 1,000 miles a day. Never again.
I am busy restoring my 1923 craftsman style farmhouse, loving every bit. I will be spending 2018 on a limited teaching schedule again thinking about how I want to spend my time here in North Carolina and coming up with some new things to teach. So far I have enjoyed hiking near my house, exploring what Asheville and area has to offer in the way of shops, food and meeting new friends, taking classes at John C. Campbell and having a blast.
